Here's what I did last night. I blocked the alpaca FBS, finally. I got some foam mats and went ahead. Those mats are great (literally, they are each 2x2', so I got 16 sqfeet to block on!) and make blocking really easy. That is, if you are not me and able to block a triangle shawl in a real triangle and not some oddly shaped thing like I did. Let's not dwell on this, let's just say: I still don't like blocking.
By now it is dry and unpinned. Have to go now to find some closet space to put it away. Really, knitted things take up so much more space, how do you do it?

How large and long is the FBS ?
Can't really tell with the pix.
Sooooooooooooooo beautiful!
(An Ikea opened TODAY within about 3 miles of us. I can hardly wait for the crowds to thin (at least a little) and go soak in that good, simple Scandihoovian design sense... and some meatballs and lingonberry candy.)
Wow, that is impressive! And I think I have to make a trip to Ikea...our publisac did not have the catalogue and I have a love/hate relationship with Ikea. Love couch. Hate to pay a thousand bucks for it. Love couch anyway...
That is exquisite. Can I have it? (Doesn't hurt to ask, I figure...)
Hi there - I've been thinking about knitting this, too. I've never knit lace before - what do you think of it as a first project? (and I feel like I might I have already asked this...) My email is knittingcowgirl(at)gmail.com.
