YES, I am experiencing the effects of knitting - as an outlet for my creativity, my obsession with colour and my love for beautiful yarns. NO, not in a negative way, but as in the German word "stricken", i.e. knitting!

"Stupid Is As Stupid Does"
And who told Stupid to put a knot in my selfstriping sock yarn??

Aieeeee...well, get out the measuring tape and splice splice splice...
I am in blue matching hell for this collar/scarf I'm doing...I sympathize, although yours was supposed to be self-matching :-}
I officially hate La Lainerie except for in an extreme emergency. Although I did get some microfiber, which I thought I'd never knit in, but have you ever fondled that stuff? woooowwwww....
Lee Ann, still waiting for Elann to remember she exists and has a Visa card...
Measuring tape?? huh? Since it is on the foot I decided I don't care too much (after throwing a little hissy fit). The feet will be wearing shoes, after all. Right?
I ended up, after four different colour combos that did not work, using the microfiber with a random skein of blue Pingouin mohair (there was only half a tag on the thing, I don't even know which one it was but it's gorgeous and was on clearance) to make the Elizabeth collar on Kate Gilbert's site. And it works perfectly. Though next time I will use an alpaca and something else, for sure, in red...easier to match reds without catastrophe :-) Lee Ann

Grrr, how was that - stupid is...and I wasn't finished.
Actually, I do have some Microfiber yarn here in my stash...and not a clue what to do with it. They are lovely colors and I have enough for a sweater.
