A picture:

The teal sock from Lang "JaWoll" - size and recipient unknown.

I tried to capture the cables in detail but my capabilities as a photographer are a bit limited:

It's a cable across six stitches but one cables only four stitches at a time.

Now I obviously have to finish the second sock, how exciting.

Well, I, for one, think it's exciting because it means you'll finish something, which is more than I've been doing lately...

The cable looks wonderful...I think I would like to try that in red :-) (I know you said the variegated stuff should be stockinette, so I'm already planning my second pair of socks when the first hasn't even been started yet...)
