Guess what?

I am knitting socks. Again. But this time I am knitting a lacy leaf pattern with Regia Silk. Enjoy:

And when did you sneak this project in? It's lovely! I'm unfamiliar with Regia Silk but it sounds like a perfect sock yarn for those times you need a little less bulk but a bit of warmth.

Hey!!! Where did this pattern come from??? They're freakin' gorgeous! I know you said I had to try Regia silk someday. Well, duuuuuuhhhh...you've got me now. "How to Create an Addict," by Mona...

I will make you extra crêpes with rum-laced chocolate sauce if you tell me how to do these socks. :-)

Okay, Okay, I'll make the crêpes even if you don't tell me...

Toni, I started on Friday night and finished on Saturday night. That's why I love socks, they are such a quick project.

Lee Ann, of course I can tell you how to knit these socks - maybe I even post a "free pattern" here. Lets see if I can find out how to do it...and you don't have to make me crêpes!

Dear Mona

I love the Regia Silk - i did a pair over the Holidays and love the way it knits - however the anthracite grey kind of stained my bamboo needles ! Oh, well ! (see it on samlatricoteuse.canalblog.com) I have found out however that Yarn Forward has some of the JaWool you were talking about and they got lots of color. I so love socks now that I want to try some in wool/cotton : i went to my lys and bought some cotton Regia.. with a couple of pamphlets of course !! Turned out again that I have spent more than I wanted to.. Frankly i think i really am into socks - i have tried now three different kind of heels just to compare: one that is explained in all those Regia pamphlets, another one in short rows and one technique that is explained in the Ann Budd book.. if you can share some more - see you at Mouline's !
