YES, I am experiencing the effects of knitting - as an outlet for my creativity, my obsession with colour and my love for beautiful yarns. NO, not in a negative way, but as in the German word "stricken", i.e. knitting!

Finished Celtic cap and matching scarf
And all in variegated yarn. Who would've thought.
The yarn is 100% Merino "Muskoka" from Berella - I had it in my stash, I think it is discontinued, the colourway is "jewel tones".
Beautiful, and just in time, eh? The recipient will be thrilled, I'm sure. Duke the Java mascot is done. He is the silliest thing I've ever knit. Really fun, though... Have a wonderful holiday!

Very cool. The scarf reminds me of shadow knitting.
Thanks you two!
StitchinGirl: it looks kinda cool, doesn't it? I don't mind puddling, pooling or striping - I take variegated yarn as it comes.
Kajin: I will have to ask the recipient about -30 degree usability...I bet we'll get a chance to talk about this early next year.

These are wonderful! I hope you found your ring, too. No chance it fell into a knitting bag hoping to be used as a stitch marker, eh?
